TCI B6687 is Biotin-PEG2-Amine (CAS 138529-46-1), a bioconjugation reagent combining a biotin moiety, a short two-unit PEG spacer, and a free primary amine. The amine readily couples with activated carboxyl groups, NHS esters, isothiocyanates, or aldehydes, allowing biotin labels to be installed on proteins, peptides, probes, and surfaces. The hydrophilic PEG spacer improves solubility and reduces steric hindrance during streptavidin or avidin capture, which benefits pull-down, ELISA, and chemical proteomics workflows.
