Description

TCI B6483 (CAS 223572-88-1) is an isosorbide-based reactive mesogen carrying two acrylate end groups linked through rigid benzoate arms and flexible butylene spacers. Its combination of a chiral bicyclic sugar core and polymerizable termini allows the material to be aligned in a liquid crystalline state and then photopolymerized into a permanently anisotropic network. Typical uses include optical retarder films, liquid crystal polymer networks, chiral and cholesteric phase studies, and photonic coating research.
