Laboratory Chemical Distributor in Indonesia
AMI Scientific (PT Advanced Material Indonesia) supplies laboratory chemicals, reagents, solvents and lab supplies to research laboratories, universities, hospitals, testing laboratories and industry throughout Indonesia. We work from Cimahi, West Java, and serve laboratory-scale purchases — from a few grams for a single experiment to a semester's routine needs — with formal quotations, quality documents and tax invoices for institutional administration.
What we supply
Research reagents and synthesis compounds. Our catalogue lists more than 20,000 active reagents from Tokyo Chemical Industry (TCI), Japan — organic synthesis building blocks, catalysts and ligands, protecting-group reagents, amino acids and derivatives, battery materials and perovskite precursors. AMI Scientific is an official TCI distributor in Indonesia; that page explains the status and how to verify it.
Solvents and analytical chemicals. Solvents for sample preparation, chromatography and synthesis; analytical-grade salts, acids and bases; buffer solutions and reference standards. For HPLC, GC or spectroscopy, please state the grade you need when requesting a quotation — we match the grade to your method, not just the compound name.
Materials for energy and materials research. Lithium electrolyte salts (LiTFSI, LiFSI, LiPF6), low-water electrolyte solvents, lead halide and cesium precursors for perovskite solar cells, and cathode and anode materials for battery research.
Life science chemicals. Biochemical reagents, enzyme substrates and inhibitors, carbohydrates, lipids, nucleosides and reagents for pharmaceutical development research. All products are sold for research and laboratory use only, not for consumption.
Besides chemicals, we also supply laboratory equipment from several brands (glassware, micropipettes, centrifuges, analytical balances, electrochemical instruments). See our laboratory equipment page.
How to find a chemical in our catalogue
The same chemical often has many names. N,N-Dimethylformamide can be written DMF or dimethylformamide, or searched by its CAS number, 68-12-2. The most reliable way to search is therefore by CAS number:
- Type the CAS number (for example
22252-43-3) or the TCI product code (for exampleA2075) in the search box at the top of the page. - Open the product page. The Chemical Identity block shows the molecular formula, molecular weight and purity, with links to PubChem and other reference databases (ChEBI, ChemSpider, ECHA) so you can confirm the compound.
- Check Product Categories below the description to find compounds in the same group, and Related TCI products for alternatives with a similar structure.
If the compound you need does not appear, send its name or CAS number via WhatsApp. Many TCI products that are not listed on the site can still be ordered.
Why laboratories buy through AMI Scientific
Prices in Rupiah, with the import handled. For chemicals shipped from Japan you do not need to work out exchange rates, import duties, international freight or import permits yourself — our quotation already accounts for the import process.
Complete quality documents. Every TCI product comes with an official Safety Data Sheet (SDS), linked on the product page, and a lot-specific Certificate of Analysis (CoA). For TCI products, the CoA can be accessed by scanning the barcode on the bottle cap. The CoA records the purity test of the lot you actually receive — important for research reports and laboratory audits.
Laboratory scale, not industrial scale. We supply the pack sizes available for each product — usually starting from 1 g, 5 g or 25 g — so you do not have to buy a drum for one experiment.
Institutional administration. We issue formal quotations, invoices and tax invoices, and serve procurement through the e-Catalogue. See How to Order & Request a Quotation, e-Catalogue procurement and Tax Invoice & VAT.
Technical support. Our team regularly handles questions such as which grade suits HPLC, whether a salt must be stored under inert conditions, or which compound is an equivalent when a product is unavailable. For battery research and materials characterisation we also offer testing services — see our characterisation page.
Choosing the right grade
The same compound is often sold in several grades, and the wrong grade is the most common cause of results that cannot be reproduced. Some general guidance:
- Analytical grade (pro analysis) — for titration, standard solutions and routine quantitative analysis. Impurity limits are stated on the label.
- HPLC or spectroscopy grade — for mobile-phase solvents and instrument sample preparation. What matters here is not only purity but also evaporation residue, UV absorbance and particles that can block a column.
- Anhydrous or low-water — for moisture-sensitive reactions and battery electrolytes; water content is usually stated in ppm.
- Synthesis grade — for organic reaction starting materials, where purity is reported as a test result by a specific method, e.g. ">98.0% (GC)" or ">98.0% (HPLC)". The part in brackets is the test method, not a grade name.
If in doubt, tell us your method or application when requesting a quotation and our team will help you choose.
Storing chemicals after delivery
Temperature, humidity, light and oxygen are the four factors that most often degrade reagents. Storage instructions for each product are on the label and in its SDS — for example "store in a cool and dark place, below 15 °C" or "store under inert gas". Check them before placing a bottle on a general shelf, close containers tightly after use, and note the date a bottle was first opened for hygroscopic materials.
Who we serve
- Universities and research laboratories — research needs of lecturers and students, including purchases from research grants that require formal quotations and invoices.
- Government research institutions — procurement through the e-Catalogue and tenders.
- Hospitals and clinical laboratories — reagents for research and method development.
- Industry — QC and R&D laboratories in the pharmaceutical, chemical, food and energy sectors.
How to order
- Send us your requirements via WhatsApp: compound name or CAS number, product code if known, grade and pack size.
- Receive a formal quotation with price, availability and estimated delivery time.
- Confirm your order. For TCI products ordered from Japan, payment is made after our team contacts you and the order is confirmed.
- Delivery to your laboratory anywhere in Indonesia, with special handling for materials that require it.

Frequently asked questions
How do I request a price quotation?
Send the compound name or CAS number, grade and pack size via WhatsApp or the contact form. Our team will send a formal quotation with price, availability and estimated delivery on working days.
Can I buy small quantities?
Yes. We supply laboratory-scale packs according to the standard sizes available for each product, usually starting from a few grams.
How long does delivery take?
It depends on stock and on where the product ships from. TCI products ordered from Japan usually arrive within 2–4 weeks, depending on the hazard classification and customs clearance; items already in our Indonesian warehouse ship sooner. The exact estimate for your order is always stated in the quotation.
Do products come with a CoA and SDS?
Yes. The official SDS is available on every TCI product page, and the lot-specific CoA can be accessed via the barcode on the bottle cap or requested from our team.
Does AMI issue tax invoices?
Yes. We issue tax invoices (faktur pajak) for transactions subject to VAT. See Tax Invoice & VAT.
Do you ship outside Java?
Yes, we ship throughout Indonesia. Shipping costs depend on the destination and the type of material, including special handling for hazardous materials.
What if the compound I need is not on the site?
Send us its name or CAS number. Not every product we can order is listed on the site; our team will check availability directly.
Can these chemicals be used for consumption or finished cosmetics?
No. All our products are reagents for research and laboratory use, not for human or animal consumption.
