This aluminium oxide (Al2O3) micron powder from Nanografi has a purity of 99.5+% and a particle size range of 250-355 μm. It is a hard, dimensionally stable alumina material used as a raw material and additive in ceramics, polymers, metals and glass.
Added to rubber, plastics and ceramics, the powder helps raise toughness, wear resistance, thermal fatigue resistance and ceramic density. It is also a feedstock for high-strength alumina ceramics, high-purity crucibles, furnace tubes and cutting tools, and it shows strong far-infrared emission, which suits it to thermal insulation uses.
The material is not radioactive and contains no heavy metals, toxic or carcinogenic substances. Its composition includes 99.8 % Al2O3, with low chlorine and soluble salt content and a near-neutral pH of 6.93 in aqueous medium.
