This aluminium oxide (Al2O3) micron powder from Nanografi has a particle size of 1000-1400 μm and an Al2O3 content of 99.8 %. It is a hard, dimensionally stable material suited to ceramic manufacturing, wear-resistant composites and catalysis work.
Added to rubber, plastics and ceramics, the powder helps raise toughness, wear resistance, thermal fatigue resistance and ceramic density. It serves as a raw material for high strength alumina ceramics, high purity crucibles, furnace tubes and cutting tools, and is also incorporated into metal products, semiconductors, tapes, polishing materials and glass.
The powder offers good far infrared emission, making it useful in fiber fabric products and high pressure sodium lamps as an emission and thermal insulation material. It is not radioactive and contains no heavy metals, toxic or carcinogenic substances. Measured impurities include 0,02 % SiO2 and 0,02 % Fe2O3, with chlorine below 50 ppm.
