Barium fluoride (BaF2) is an inorganic ionic compound formed from barium and fluorine. It belongs to the metal fluoride group of materials. Sputtering targets are solid plates of this material used as the source in physical vapor deposition (PVD), where atoms are ejected by ion bombardment and deposited onto a substrate to form thin films. This target is supplied under the Nanografi brand.
