Bismuth ferrite (BiFeO3) is a perovskite-structured ceramic oxide and one of the most widely studied single-phase multiferroic materials, in which ferroelectric and magnetic ordering can coexist. This makes it a key compound in functional oxide and materials physics research. The sputtering target form is supplied for physical vapor deposition of BiFeO3 thin films in laboratory and pilot-scale processes.
