Bismuth ferrite (BiFeO3) is a perovskite-structured oxide ceramic classified as a multiferroic material, in which ferroelectric and magnetic ordering can coexist. Because of this combined behavior, it is widely studied for next-generation electronic and spintronic research. As a sputtering target, it serves as the source material for depositing BiFeO3 thin films onto substrates in physical vapor deposition systems.
