Nanografi Bismuth Oxide (Bi2O3) Micron Powder, also called bismuth trioxide, is a yellow crystalline powder supplied at 99.99% purity with particles controlled in the 1-5 µm range. It is used in electronic ceramics, optical glass, catalysis and energy research.
The powder does not dissolve in water, but concentrated acids dissolve it to give bismuth salts. Its high refractive index, good ionic conductivity and strong optical absorption make it a useful material for electronic and optical work.
A large specific surface area combined with chemical stability also makes the material suitable for catalytic and other functional applications. It is available in 25gr, 100gr, 500gr and 1000gr packs.
- Formulation of varistor ceramics, thermistors, MOS devices and dielectric layers that rely on its ionic conductivity and stability.
- Optical glass production as a coloring agent and refractive index modifier, and in photonic devices.
- Catalyst for selective oxidation reactions and ingredient in pigments and specialty coatings.
- Photocatalyst for pollutant degradation and solar energy conversion, and candidate solid electrolyte for fuel cells.
- Research into antimicrobial coatings and biomedical engineering based on its biocompatibility and antibacterial activity.
