Calcium manganate (CaMnO3) is an inorganic perovskite-type mixed metal oxide belonging to the family of complex oxide ceramics. Its crystal structure and manganese-based chemistry make it a subject of interest in oxide thin-film research. Sputtering targets are dense, solid pieces of this material used as the source in physical vapor deposition (PVD) processes, where atoms are ejected from the target surface and deposited onto a substrate to form thin films.
