These Nanografi carbon nanofibers (CNFs) are a black, CVD-grown carbon nanomaterial with a purity above 95 wt% and an outside diameter of 50-100 nm. Fiber lengths fall in the 1-15 μm range, giving an elongated morphology that helps build conductive networks and reinforce host materials.
The powder has a tap density of 0.05 g/cm3, a true density of 2,2 g/cm3, a specific surface area of 20 m2/g and an electrical conductivity of 98 s/cm. Unlike carbon nanotubes, which consist of cylindrical graphene walls, CNFs can have stacked-cup, platelet or other graphitic arrangements, which affects their surface chemistry, mechanical behaviour and electrical properties.
