This carbon nanotube (CNT) thermal radiation coating dispersion is a ready-to-apply formulation for building thin heat-dissipating films. It combines 4 wt% carbon nanotubes with a waterborne polyurethane film-forming resin, and is intended for surfaces where heat must be shed efficiently through radiation and conduction.
Carbon nanotubes rank among the most effective thermally conductive materials, which lets this dispersion produce very thin layers with very low thermal resistance. The cured film reaches an emissivity of 0.96-0.98 and a thermal conductivity of 1.4-2.0 W/m.K, with a surface resistivity of 10^4-10^6 Ω.
The recommended dry film thickness is 5.0-10.0 um, and the paint dries at 75-85 °C. Finished coatings show HB hardness and 5B adhesion. Typical substrates include copper foil, aluminum plate, LED lamp bases and electrical enclosures.
- Thermal radiation coating of copper foil for heat dissipation.
- Cooling coatings on aluminum plates.
- Heat-dissipating coatings for LED lamp bases.
- Cooling of electrical enclosures through a high-emissivity surface layer.
