These graphitized multi walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) carry carboxyl (-COOH) groups on their surface at a content of 1.25 wt%. The material is a black powder with a purity above 99.99 % and an ash content of 0.1 wt%, suited to research and development work that calls for clean, functionalized nanotubes.
The tubes are grown by CVD and then processed at 2800 °C. They have an outside diameter of 4-16 nm, an inside diameter of 3-5 nm and a length of 55 µm. Further listed properties are a true density of 2.2 g/cm3, a specific surface area of 120 m2/g and an electrical conductivity of 98 S/cm.
Multi walled carbon nanotubes are studied across medicine, mechanics, electrical and electronic engineering, chemistry and energy. The product is offered in 1 g, 5 g, 25 g and 100 g pack sizes.
