These graphitized multi walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) carry carboxyl (-COOH) groups on their surface, at a content of 0.65 wt%. The black powder has a purity above 99.99 % and an ash content of 0.1 wt%, which makes it a clean starting material for nanomaterial research and product development.
The tubes are produced by CVD and then processed at 2800 °C. They have an outside diameter of 18-28 nm, an inside diameter of 5-10 nm and a length of 10-30 µm. Other listed properties are a true density of 2.2 g/cm3, a specific surface area of 60 m2/g and an electrical conductivity of 98 S/cm.
Multi walled carbon nanotubes are studied across medicine, mechanics, electrical and electronic engineering, chemistry and energy. The material is offered in 1 g, 5 g, 25 g, 100 g and 500 g packs.
