These industrial-grade multi walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) carry carboxyl (-COOH) groups on their surface, with a -COOH content of 1.5 wt%. The black powder has a purity above 92 % and is produced by chemical vapour deposition (CVD).
Each nanotube has an outside diameter of 20-40 nm, an inside diameter of 5-10 nm and a length of 10-35 µm. The material offers a specific surface area of 120 m2/g, a tap density of 0.15 g/cm3, a true density of 2.2 g/cm3 and an electrical conductivity of 98 S/cm, with an ash content of 9 wt%.
Multi walled carbon nanotubes are studied across medicine, mechanics, electrics and electronics, chemistry and energy, making this functionalized grade a practical choice for composite, electrode and sensor work. It is supplied in 5, 25, 100, 500 and 1000 gram packs.
- Reinforcing and adding conductivity to CNT composite materials.
