Carboxyl-functionalized short multi walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) are cylindrical carbon nanostructures made of multiple concentric graphene layers. The surface carries -COOH groups, which improve dispersibility in polar media and provide reactive sites for further chemical modification. The short length makes them easier to handle in dispersions and composite formulations. They belong to the carbon nanomaterials group.
