Carboxyl-functionalized short length single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWCNTs) are carbon nanomaterials made of single graphene sheets rolled into hollow cylinders. The tubes are shortened and surface-modified with carboxyl (-COOH) groups, which improve dispersion in polar solvents and provide reactive sites for further chemical attachment. They belong to the carbon nanotube family of nanocarbon materials.
