This Nanografi product is a dispersion of graphene in ethanol, supplied as a black liquid with a graphene concentration of 0.5 wt% and a graphene purity of 99.5%. It is intended for researchers working on coatings, composites and other materials who want an environmentally safer way to handle graphene than working with dry powder.
The graphene is produced by bath sonication of natural graphite flakes in ethanol mixtures, a liquid phase exfoliation route. The resulting sheets have a thickness of 0.6-1.2 nm, a diameter of 2.0-12.0 µm and a specific surface area of 600-1200 m2/g. Elemental analysis shows 99.6% carbon and <0.4% oxygen, and the dispersion contains a surfactant.
According to the manufacturer, this dispersion has outperformed commercial nano graphite at much lower loadings. It is available in 30 ml, 60 ml, 120 ml, 500 ml and 1000 ml packs.
- Formulating graphene-containing coatings.
- Preparing graphene-reinforced composite materials.
- Use as a lower-loading alternative to commercial nano graphite in material development.
- General materials research requiring graphene in a liquid, easy-to-handle form.
