Iron (Fe) sputtering targets are solid plates of elemental iron, a transition metal, designed for physical vapor deposition (PVD) sputtering systems. During sputtering, energetic ions bombard the target surface and eject iron atoms that condense onto a substrate to form a thin film. Nanografi iron targets fall within the nanomaterial and advanced materials category used in laboratory-scale thin film research.
