Iron oxide (Fe3O4), commonly known as magnetite, is an inorganic transition metal oxide with ferrimagnetic properties. In this sputtering target format, the material is supplied as a solid source for physical vapor deposition (PVD), where it is sputtered to form thin films on a substrate. Nanomaterial-grade magnetite targets are used when controlled and uniform film growth is required for research work.
