Magnesium Oxide (MgO) sputtering targets are solid ceramic discs made from magnesium oxide, an ionic metal oxide with a rock-salt crystal structure. They are used in physical vapor deposition (PVD), especially magnetron sputtering, to deposit thin MgO films onto substrates for research and development work.
