Multi-walled carbon nanotube (MWCNT) arrays are vertically aligned assemblies of multiple concentric graphitic cylinders grown directly on a quartz substrate. As part of the carbon nanomaterials group, these substrate-supported arrays provide an ordered geometry that is useful for surface-based studies and device prototyping.
