These meniscus guides from Ossila fit the Ossila 100 mm standard slot die head and help fix the width of the coated area, giving films with cleaner, better defined edges during slot die coating.
Made from stainless steel, the guides are supplied in packs of 3 and come in a range of predefined coating widths, lip depths and thicknesses. Guide thickness options are 0.05 mm and 0.1 mm, with lip depths of 0.5 mm, 1 mm or 1.5 mm. They suit inks and solutions across a viscosity range of 0 – 1000 cPs.
Where a standard configuration does not fit the process, custom versions can be specified, including designs that enable multi-strip coatings. The guides work alongside other slot die coating accessories such as slot die heads and shims.
