These meniscus guides are accessories for the Ossila 100 mm standard slot die head. They pin the edges of the coating bead so the deposited film keeps a clearly defined width during slot die coating.
Made from stainless steel, the guides are suited to coating fluids with viscosities from 0 to 1000 cPs. They come in packs of 3, with predefined coating widths, guide thicknesses of 0.05 mm or 0.1 mm, and lip depths of 0.5 mm, 1 mm or 1.5 mm, so the guide can be matched to the coating job. Custom versions are also available for more specific needs, including setups for multi-strip coating.
The guides belong to Ossila's slot die coating range, which also includes slot die heads and shims for further control over the width of the coated film.
