These meniscus guides are stainless steel accessories for the Ossila 100 mm standard slot die head. Fitted to the head, they pin the edges of the coating meniscus so that the width of the deposited film stays well defined during slot die coating.
Guides are supplied in packs of 3 and come with predefined coating widths, lip depths and thicknesses. Guide thickness options are 0.05 mm and 0.1 mm, while lip depth can be chosen from 0.5 mm, 1 mm or 1.5 mm. They are suited to inks with viscosities from 0 – 1000 cPs.
Where a standard configuration does not fit the job, custom guides can be made, including designs that allow several strips to be coated at once. The guides sit within a wider slot die coating range that also includes slot die heads and shims for further control over coating width.
