These meniscus guides are stainless steel accessories for the Ossila 100 mm standard slot die head. Fitted to the head, they pin the edges of the coating so that the deposited film has a well defined width during slot die coating.
Each pack contains 3 guides. Guides are offered with preset coating widths, guide thicknesses of 0.05 mm or 0.1 mm, and lip depths of 0.5 mm, 1 mm or 1.5 mm, so the setup can be matched to the coating job. They suit fluids in the 0 – 1000 cPs viscosity range.
Where standard sizes are not enough, custom versions can be made, including designs for coating several strips at once. The guides work alongside other parts of the Ossila slot die coating range, such as slot die heads and shims, which also help control coating width.
