These Ossila shims are stainless steel inserts for the Ossila 100 mm standard slot die head. A slot die head needs a shim to set the width of the coated film, and these come in packs of 5 with predefined coating widths.
Shims also work as spacers. Placed between the sections of the head, they change its internal pressure, which allows higher flow rates. Thicknesses of 0.1 mm and 0.05 mm are listed, and the shims suit fluids across a viscosity range of 0 – 1000 cPs.
Custom shim options are also available for users with more specific requirements, including designs for coating several strips at once.
