3N-T2T, also known as TmPyTz or TmPPyTz (CAS 939430-26-9), is a star-shaped 1,3,5-triazine compound used as an electron transport host material in organic light-emitting diode research. It is supplied in sublimed grade with a purity above 99.0% (HPLC) as an off-white powder or crystals.
The pyridyl groups attached around the triazine core improve electron transport and injection. Because the molecule is electron-deficient, it also works as an electron acceptor: paired with donors such as tris-PCz or DSDTAF, it forms green exciplexes that can serve as the emitting layer or as a co-host.
Compared with TmPyPB, a structurally related compound built on a 1,3,5-triphenylbenzene core, 3N-T2T has a deeper HOMO level (6.77 eV), which makes it suitable as a hole blocking layer. It belongs to the triazine derivative, TADF exciplex host and phosphorescent host material families.
- Electron transport and electron injection layers in OLED devices.
- Electron acceptor combined with donors such as tris-PCz or DSDTAF to form green exciplexes.
- Light-emitting active layer or co-host in exciplex-based devices.
- Hole blocking layer material thanks to its deep HOMO level.
- Host material for TADF and phosphorescent OLEDs.
