4CzTPN-Ph, or 2,3,5,6-tetrakis(3,6-diphenylcarbazol-9-yl)-1,4-dicyanobenzene (CAS 1416881-55-4), is an orange-emitting thermally activated delayed fluorescence (TADF) material. It is widely chosen as an orange dopant in high-efficiency TADF-OLEDs, including white OLED architectures where it supplies the orange component.
Compared with the parent 4CzTPN, this molecule carries eight phenyl groups on the 3,6-positions of its carbazole units. These substituents strengthen its electron-donating character and add steric bulk, which helps suppress intermolecular interactions such as excimer formation.
Thanks to its donor-acceptor design, 4CzTPN-Ph also performs well in one- and two-photon cellular fluorescence imaging when prepared as water-dispersed nanoparticles, showing good dispersibility, strong resistance to photodegradation and photobleaching, and low cytotoxicity. It is offered as orange powder/crystals in unsublimed (>98%) and sublimed (>99.0%, HPLC) grades.
- Orange emitter dopant in high-efficiency TADF-OLED devices.
- Orange component in hybrid white OLEDs based on blue exciplex or multi-emissive-layer designs.
- Nanoparticle probe for one-photon cellular fluorescence imaging.
- Nanoparticle probe for two-photon cellular fluorescence imaging.
