4DBFHPB (CAS 2280942-02-9) is a triarylamine hole transport layer (HTL) material for organic light-emitting devices. Its structure combines a hexaphenylbenzene (HPB) core with two electron-donating dibenzofuranylphenylamine end groups, a design family known for high efficiency and long lifetime in TADF and phosphorescent OLEDs. It is offered in sublimed (≥99%) and unsublimed (≥98%) grades.
The material has a glass transition temperature of 135 °C and offers good thermal and electrical stability. Compared with its phenyl-containing analogue, it shows a substantially higher anionic bond dissociation energy, which supports stable operation in blue and green emitting devices. Its triplet energy of 2.7 eV and hole mobility of 1.5 × 10−3 cm2 V−1 s−1, 300 times that of the diphenylamine-terminated analogue TATT, make it well suited to high-efficiency stacks.
In a green TADF-OLED using 4CzIPN as the emitter, a 4DBFHPB hole transport layer delivered approximately 19.2% EQE, an LT50 of over 24,000 h and a low driving voltage at 1000 cd cm-2.
