These meniscus guides are stainless steel accessories for the Ossila 50 mm standard slot die head. Fitted to the head, they pin the edges of the coating meniscus so the deposited film keeps a well-defined width during slot die coating.
Each pack holds 3 guides. Guides come with set coating widths, lip depths and thicknesses, so you can match them to a particular coating job. Guide thickness options are 0.05 mm and 0.1 mm, and lip depths are 0.5 mm, 1 mm and 1.5 mm. The guides suit inks and solutions across a viscosity range of 0 – 1000 cPs.
Custom guides can also be supplied for more specific requirements, including layouts that produce multi-strip coatings. They work alongside other parts of the slot die coating range, such as slot die heads and shims, which also help define the width of the deposited film.
