These meniscus guides are accessories for the Ossila 50 mm standard slot die head. Their role is to pin the width of the coating meniscus, so the deposited film has more clearly defined edges and a controlled coating width.
Made from stainless steel, the guides suit coating fluids from 0 – 1000 cPs. They are supplied in packs of 3, with a range of predefined coating widths, lip depths (0.5 mm, 1 mm or 1.5 mm) and guide thicknesses (0.05 mm or 0.1 mm), so the configuration can be matched to the coating task.
Where standard sizes do not fit the requirement, custom guides are also available, including designs that allow multi-strip coatings. The guides work alongside other slot die coating accessories such as slot die heads and shims.
