These meniscus guides are stainless steel accessories for the Ossila 50 mm standard slot die head. Fitted to the head, they pin the edges of the coating meniscus so the deposited film keeps a well defined width during slot die coating.
Guides are supplied in packs of 3, each set made to a predefined coating width, lip depth and thickness. Guide thicknesses of 0.05 mm and 0.1 mm and lip depths of 0.5 mm, 1 mm and 1.5 mm are offered, and the guides suit inks with viscosities from 0 – 1000 cPs.
Custom versions can also be made for more specific requirements, including layouts that allow multi-strip coatings. The guides sit within a wider slot die coating range that also includes slot die heads and shims for defining coating width.
