These meniscus guides are accessories for slot die coating that fix the edges of the coating meniscus, so the deposited film has a well defined width. They are designed to fit the Ossila 50 mm standard slot die head and are made from stainless steel.
The guides are supplied in packs of 3. The range covers several predefined coating widths, along with a choice of lip depths (0.5 mm, 1 mm, 1.5 mm) and guide thicknesses (0.05 mm, 0.1 mm), so the guide can be matched to the coating job. They suit inks and solutions within a viscosity range of 0 – 1000 cPs.
Custom versions can also be made for more specific needs, including designs that allow multi-strip coatings. The guides sit alongside other slot die accessories such as slot die heads and shims, which also help control the width of the deposited film.
