These meniscus guides are accessories for slot die coating that fix, or pin, the width of the coated film so the deposited layer has cleaner, better defined edges. They are designed to fit the Ossila 50 mm standard slot die head and are made from stainless steel.
Each pack contains 3 guides, supplied with a predefined coating width, lip depth and guide thickness. Guide thicknesses of 0.05 mm and 0.1 mm and lip depths of 0.5 mm, 1 mm and 1.5 mm are offered across the range, and the guides suit coating fluids with viscosities of 0 – 1000 cPs. Custom guide designs are also possible for more specific needs, including configurations that allow multi-strip coatings. The guides can be combined with slot die heads and shims from the same slot die coating range to tailor a coating setup.
