These meniscus guides are accessories for the Ossila 50 mm standard slot die head. Fitted to the head, they pin the edges of the coating meniscus so the deposited film has a well-defined, controlled width during slot die coating.
The guides are made from stainless steel and suit coating fluids in the 0 – 1000 cPs viscosity range. The range is offered in a choice of predefined coating widths, lip depths and guide thicknesses, with thickness options of 0.05 mm and 0.1 mm and lip depths of 0.5 mm, 1 mm and 1.5 mm. Each pack contains 3 guides.
Custom guide designs are also available for more specific needs, including layouts that allow multi-strip coatings. The guides work alongside other slot die coating accessories such as slot die heads and shims, which also help define the width of the deposited film.
