These Ossila meniscus guides are stainless steel accessories for the Ossila 50 mm standard slot die head. Fitted to the coating head, they pin the edges of the liquid meniscus so that the deposited film has a clearly defined width, giving more controlled slot die coating.
Each pack contains 3 guides. Versions are offered with different predefined coating widths, guide thicknesses of 0.05 mm or 0.1 mm, and lip depths of 0.5 mm, 1 mm or 1.5 mm, so the guide can be matched to the coating job. They suit inks and solutions within a viscosity range of 0 – 1000 cPs.
Where a standard version does not fit the requirement, custom guides can be supplied, including designs that allow several strips to be coated at once. The guides work alongside other parts of the Ossila slot die coating range, such as slot die heads and shims, which also help set the coating width.
