These Ossila meniscus guides are stainless steel inserts for the Ossila 50 mm standard slot die head. They hold the edges of the coating meniscus in place, fixing the coated width so that deposited films come out with cleaner, better defined edges.
Each pack contains 3 guides. The range is offered in a choice of predefined coating widths, lip depths of 0.5 mm, 1 mm or 1.5 mm, and guide thicknesses of 0.05 mm or 0.1 mm, so the guide can be matched to the coating job. They suit inks across a viscosity range of 0 – 1000 cPs. Custom guides are also available for more specific needs, including set-ups for multi-strip coating.
The guides belong to Ossila's slot die coating accessory range, alongside slot die heads and shims that likewise help control the width of the deposited film.
