Ossila 50mm Meniscus Guides (L3005M9) are stainless steel accessories for slot die coating. They fix, or pin, the width of the coating meniscus so that the deposited film has cleaner, better-defined edges. They fit the Ossila 50 mm standard slot die head.
The guides come in packs of 3, each set made to a predefined coating width, lip depth and guide thickness. Guide thickness options are 0.05 mm and 0.1 mm, lip depths are 0.5 mm, 1 mm and 1.5 mm, and the guides suit inks with viscosities from 0 – 1000 cPs. Custom guides can also be made for specific requirements, including multi-strip coating.
The guides work alongside the other parts of the Ossila slot die coating range, such as slot die heads and shims, which also help control the width of the coated film.
