These meniscus guides fit the Ossila 50 mm standard slot die head and help fix the width of the wet coating, giving films with cleaner, better defined edges during slot die coating.
Made from stainless steel, the guides are supplied in packs of 3. They come with set coating widths, lip depths and thicknesses, so you can pick the combination that matches your process. Guide thickness options are 0.05 mm and 0.1 mm, with lip depths of 0.5 mm, 1 mm or 1.5 mm, and they suit inks with viscosities in the 0 – 1000 cPs range.
Custom versions are also available for more specialised needs, including layouts that allow multi-strip coatings. The guides work alongside slot die heads and shims as part of a configurable slot die coating setup.
