These meniscus guides are accessories for slot die coating, designed to fix the width of the coated film so the deposited layer has cleaner, better defined edges. They fit the Ossila 50 mm standard slot die head and are made from stainless steel.
Each pack contains 3 guides. The range covers a selection of preset coating widths together with guide thicknesses of 0.05 mm or 0.1 mm and lip depths of 0.5 mm, 1 mm or 1.5 mm, so the guide can be matched to the coating job. They are suited to inks and solutions within a viscosity range of 0 – 1000 cPs.
Where a standard width does not fit the requirement, custom versions can be made, including designs that allow several strips to be coated at once. The guides work alongside other slot die coating accessories such as slot die heads and shims.
