These meniscus guides fit the Ossila 50 mm standard slot die head and help fix the width of the coated film, giving cleaner, better defined edges during slot die coating. Each pack contains 3 stainless steel guides.
The guides come in a range of preset coating widths, lip depths and thicknesses, so the setup can be matched to the coating job. Guide thickness options are 0.05 mm and 0.1 mm, and lip depths of 0.5 mm, 1 mm and 1.5 mm are offered. They are suited to inks and solutions within a viscosity range of 0 – 1000 cPs.
Where standard sizes do not fit the requirement, custom versions can be supplied, including designs that allow multi-strip coatings. The guides work alongside other slot die accessories such as slot die heads and shims, which also help control the width of the deposited film.
