These meniscus guides are accessories for slot die coating that fix the edges of the coating meniscus, so the deposited film has a clearly defined width. They are designed to fit the Ossila 50 mm standard slot die head and are made from stainless steel.
Each pack contains 3 guides. Versions are offered with set coating widths, guide thicknesses of 0.05 mm or 0.1 mm, and lip depths of 0.5 mm, 1 mm or 1.5 mm, letting users match the guide to their process. The guides suit inks and solutions within a viscosity range of 0 – 1000 cPs.
Custom guides can also be supplied for more specialised work, including designs that produce multiple coated strips in one pass. The guides work alongside other slot die accessories such as slot die heads and shims, which also help define the width of the coated film.
