These stainless steel shims are made for the Ossila 50 mm standard slot die head. In slot die coating, the shim sets the width of the coated stripe, so changing the shim is how you change the width and volume of the film you deposit.
Each pack holds 5 shims with a predefined coating width, and the range is offered in 0.1 mm and 0.05 mm thicknesses. Shims can also be placed as spacers between the sections of the head, altering the internal pressure to allow higher flow rates. They suit coating inks with viscosities from 0 to 1000 cPs.
