The Ossila Automatic Film Applicator (L2009A1-AU) is a motorised coating platform that moves your chosen applicator across the substrate at a programmed speed. It works with Mayer bars, blade coaters and gap applicators as well as Sheen, Baker and Bird applicators, letting one system cover several coating techniques.
Stage speed is adjustable from 0.05 mm.s -1 to 250 mm.s -1 in 0.01 mm.s -1 steps, so the motion can be matched to the applicator and the viscosity of the solution for smooth, defect-free films. The stage travels 290 mm (A4) and supports coating widths up to 225 mm.
Two stage options are offered: an 8 mm toughened glass stage with a printed grid for quick sample alignment and easy cleaning, or an anodized aluminum vacuum stage that holds substrates firmly, suited to flexible or foil materials when paired with a compatible Diaphragm Vacuum Pump. A quick-lock magnetic design lets the stage and drip tray be removed and refitted easily between coatings. The unit can be combined with Ossila applicators or complete kits such as the Bar Coater and Doctor Blade Coater.
