The Ossila Automatic Film Applicator (L2009C1-AU) is a motorised coating platform that moves your applicator across the substrate at a programmed, constant speed. It works with Mayer bars, blade coaters and gap applicators, as well as Sheen, Baker and Bird applicators, so one system can cover bar coating, doctor blade coating and related film-casting methods.
Speed is set between 0.05 mm.s -1 and 250 mm.s -1 in 0.01 mm.s -1 steps, letting you match travel rate to solution viscosity and avoid coating defects. The stage travels 290 mm (A4) and accepts coating widths up to 225 mm. Users can choose a toughened glass stage with a printed alignment grid for easy cleaning, or an anodized aluminum vacuum stage that holds flexible and foil substrates flat.
A magnetic quick-lock design allows the stage and drip tray to be removed, swapped and cleaned quickly between runs. The unit can be combined with Ossila interchangeable applicators or complete kits such as the Ossila Bar Coater and Doctor Blade Coater.
