Ossila S2011B2-25 is a high-purity, battery grade copper foil supplied as flat sheets for use as the current collector in Li-ion anodes and other energy storage devices. This version has a single sided polish, a thickness of 12 µm and a sheet size of 210 x 297 mm, supplied in a pack of 25.

The foil is Cu >99.9% with tightly limited Fe, Bi and Pb content. At 12 µm it offers a tensile strength of ≥305 MPa, a surface dyne of 68 dyne/cm and a normal elongation of 3.0%. Choosing among foil thicknesses and polish types lets cell designers trade conductivity against energy density.

Because the foil comes pre-cut, there is no need to keep large rolls on hand, and the sheets suit compact benchtop bar-coating machines. They can be used directly from the packaging and coated with anode active materials such as graphite or carbon black powders to build electrodes.

  • Current collector for lithium-ion battery anodes.
  • Substrate for coating anode active materials such as graphite and carbon black powders.
  • Electrode preparation on small benchtop bar-coating machines.
  • Comparative testing of foil specifications in energy storage cell design.
