This Ossila multi electrode deposition mask (no spacer version) is a stainless steel shadow mask assembly for evaporating electrodes onto 25mm x 25mm patterned ITO substrates. It is designed for building prototype photovoltaic devices and light emitting diodes (LEDs).
The mask openings line up with the ITO pattern on the S2006C1 25mm square substrate to form four large pixels, each measuring 6mm x 8mm = 48mm2, giving a total device area of 192mm2 per substrate. The finished electrodes can be contacted easily with the P2011A Test Board.
The assembly consists of a back panel, a substrate holder and a shadow mask. Substrates sit against the back panel with the patterned mask layer above them, and the layers are screwed together so the substrates stay secure throughout deposition. The 95mm x 95mm frame holds up to 9 substrates in 25.3mm x 25.3mm recesses. This variant has no spacer layer, giving a thickness of 1.7mm excluding bolts.
- Evaporating top electrodes to define four 48mm2 pixels on 25mm square patterned ITO substrates.
- Fabricating prototype organic photovoltaic cells (OPVs).
- Fabricating prototype light emitting diodes, including OLEDs.
- Batch deposition on up to 9 substrates in a single run.
