FK102-Co(II)PF6 Salt, chemically Tris(2-(1H-pyrazol-1-yl)pyridine)cobalt(II) di[hexafluorophosphate], is a cobalt complex built on pyrazole-pyridine ligands. It serves two roles in solar cell research: as a redox electrolyte in dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSC) and as a dopant for hole transport layer (HTL) materials in perovskite solar cells.
When used in place of triiodide-based redox electrolytes, cobalt complexes of this type generally raise the photovoltage of a device. The gain is most pronounced under low light, such as indoor conditions, where power output can be substantially higher.
Ossila supplies the material as an orange powder with purity above 98%. It dissolves in acetonitrile, has a molecular weight of 784.35 g/mol and a reported melting point of 362 °C.
