PFN-FP-I is a conjugated polymer electrolyte supplied as the diiodide salt of PFN-FP (CAS 1026670-72-3). It serves two roles in organic electronics: as an emissive active layer in blue OLEDs, and as an electron-interface (cathode interlayer) material that boosts extraction efficiency in OLED, OPV and perovskite solar cell devices.

The polymer carries strongly polar ionic pendant groups, which make it soluble in methanol and water. It can also be dissolved in polar solvents with a small amount of acetic acid, allowing processing from solvents that do not disturb underlying organic layers.

This listing covers batch M2080A2, with an Mw of 24 kDa, an Mn of 10.9 kDa and a PDI of 2.2. The material belongs to the polyfluorene family and is also known as PFN-FP iodide or PFN-B-I.

  • Active layer material for blue organic light-emitting diodes.
  • Electron-interface layer to improve charge extraction in OLEDs.
  • Cathode interlayer for high-efficiency organic photovoltaic devices.
  • Electron-interface layer in perovskite solar cells.
  • Water- or methanol-processed interlayers in multilayer solution-processed devices.
